Ever since the day I had a glimpse of my true condition of heart such that I knew I was no better than my father, it was then that the mercy of the LORD came to me and I was set free from the hidden bondage of hatred towards my father from early childhood. As the changing of my heart was just not possible by my own efforts for so many years, I knew it was only possible by the mercy and power of God alone. Deep in my heart I began to treasure God as being The Only One Who has saved me from despair and hopelessness; the phrase ‘who can compare with You’ began to take root in my heart. Years later when I got to know God’s name as being Yahweh, it then became a joy to worship Him, Who alone is God!
